The day I browsed the online classified ads for a nearby small town, I was trying to find listings for small engine repairmen, hoping I might get my lawn mower fixed instead of buying a new one.  On any given day, I could have skimmed right over the announcement for the Eagle Mountain Writer’s Workshop Meeting, and never given it a second look.  Oh, how happy I am that Serendipity was holding my hand that day and I took the second look!

1 WEEK AGO…..AUGUST 2009

I began to create Emerging Writer!  Now I can just share lists of the actions I take to make it a reality!  These all happened in week 1!

     In order for you to find me here today, I first had to have a blog site.  Two months ago I didn’t really know what a blog was, let alone how to build one and maintain one.  All that has changed now, and I thought it would be interesting to document my process for learning about the blogs and setting up my own.  A continuum, if you will, of what I hope will be the evolution of a lost in the dust non-techie, into a tech-savvy blogger who can hold her own in the cyber world.  Okay…maybe that is a high set goal…either way…here is entry 1 of my self-taught experiences.  Always start with what you DO know…

     Writers know who they are.  They know who they are because they cannot stop themselves from writing.  Most have written since early childhood and continue to write throughout their lives.  Whether writing is their profession or not, is irrelevant; it is their passion.  You see, writers do not require payment in order to sit down and draft a manuscript.  There is some other, deeper, need to use words to express themselves and it will not be denied.  It happens sometimes without any provocation at all.  There is a club for these people…
